Why it’s bad to be this way

mccainThere is something deeply wrong with the way the current Republican Party runs its affairs in Brooklyn, NY. I feel that it is important to state that there is a deep rift. There are those in the party who are young and idealistic and then there are those in the party that I like to call the “dinosaurs.” The old and decrepit feel it is their obligation to run the party like a socialist state.

Now, being that the Republican Party is supposedly the party of anti-big government, I find it amusing that the party within itself runs like a near fascist organization. It’s quite simple. There are those elders who control everything and offer benefits to those who pay respect to said elders. And if the elders don’t like you, you are tossed into the political fray for the hounds to get you. Furthermore, the Chairman remains the same. There is no point in contesting him because he always gets elected, despite the “democratic” vote that “elects” him. This may sound like what the government in Iran is like, and it is. When the county Chairman threatens his constituency (ie: party members) because they pose a threat to his “reelection,” then I believe it is safe to say that the similarities between the Republican Party and a socialist state are nothing short of a match made in heaven. District Leaders are also at fault for not telling their County Committee who opposes the incumbent chairman. Essentially, the party in Brooklyn operates like a jail cell where the prisoners (ie: County Committee Voters) are given no information and are told to function in certain ways against their will. And this is the beautified Republic we live in today. No, instead we have become a corrupt, yet overtly glorified Democracy.

This is just Brooklyn. Now let’s look at how the Party operates on a national scale. It’s pretty much the same. Richard Nixon was Eisenhower’s Vice President. Despite who the people may have really wanted in a Republican Candidate, the Convention ran Nixon as the presidential candidate against John F. Kennedy. Nixon loses the first time, but, just as any socialist state, those who fail to obtain power once must try again against everyone’s will. So, the Party ran Nixon a second time and he won. And prolonged a war, brought it to a lengthy end, and, oh right, Watergate. That went well. And after Nixon we wanted Reagan. So the Party decided to give this turn tail Democrat a chance. So he wins, and everyone loves him. And who was his Vice President? Oh, that’s right. It was Vice President George Bush, Sr. And when the Reagan era was over, who did the Convention decide to run? Vice President George Bush. And he wins. And then there was the Clinton Era.

While Republicans and Monica Lewinsky choked during Clinton’s eight years, The RNC prepared it’s new candidates. And who were they in 2000? George Bush, Sr.’s son, George W. Bush, and none other than John McCain. Bush gets the vote and McCain is told to wait his turn, just like every other Republican candidate within the past five decades. And when the Bush era was over, yes, you guessed it, it was John McCain’s turn. Yes, his TURN. And in 2008, who did the RNC run? John McCain, because he lost the first time.

It’s turn based and forced. That’s how the party functions. The renegades who despise this system are chewed on, spit out, and booed off stage. Dare you contest the Status Quo. The renegades, however, operate like true, old school conservatives. Their clubs and organizations function democratically via a transparent vote. The Candidates are too young to care about a power hungry system. Their idols and teachers are philosophers and economists, not District Leaders and County Chairman. If an individual strays from principle, he is reeducated and welcomed back. Votes are earned, not stolen. Conventions are made at the private sector’s donations, not taxes. They are the youthful intellectuals, an army of thought provoking students and academics who see a brighter future for not the party, but the philosophy upon which the country runs on. They are the Liberty believers. They are the Constitutionalist. They are the socially educated.

This renegade sector of the “Party” runs candidates like Ron Paul, Adam Kokesh, and RJ Harris. This sector has the people check and balance the candidates’ philosophical standing and always makes sure that it is up to par with legal and political needs. It doesn’t run candidates that are “of the people” or “one of us.” It doesn’t flaunt religion as the basis of its values. It doesn’t glorify voter manipulation through scare tactics (ie: “Obama is a terrorist.” Really?) and it most certainly evades those candidates that do not abide by the Constitution.

This little r3VOLution is going to take its toll. The good will always prevail in the end. The old have to die sooner or later.
